Why our mirrors last longer: A) Besides several layers of protective coatings, we seal our mirrors with Pro-tech mirror seal. Why do mirrors turn black? For centuries mirrors have been made by applying silver, real silver to glass. The silver reflects light, and the images opposite it. Silver is known for it’s propensity to tarnish. This is called oxidization. Many people own real silver dishes and “silver”ware they must clean to before setting out for guests to enjoy.

One-Way Mirrors: AAA KARTAK provides and installs what are commonly known as “one way mirrors” which, when proper lighting requirements are met, concel one side, while the other side of “one way mirrors” can be seen through. AAA KARTAK is an excellent source for One Way Mirrors.
Applications: Besides being useful for police interrogations, one way mirrors are often used as an exterior to office buildings, and are great for commercial use as a deterrent to crime.
We have also installed one-way mirrors in bathrooms with a hidden television behind the mirror. The TV is not seen when it is off. A remote control turns it on allowing the TV to be watched in the bathroom. Great way to get the morning news while drinking coffee and getting ready for work!
More About One-way Mirrors:
Ever seen police shows in which a suspect is questioned while the detectives watch secretly on the other side of a one-way mirror? How do one way mirrors reflect light from one side while remaining clear on the other?
One-way mirrors are coated with a special layer, allowing the mirror to reflect about half the light that strikes its surface, while letting the other half pass through.
So why doesn't the suspect see the detectives on the other side? This has to do with lighting. To conceal the other side of the one-way mirror, the room in which the glass looks must be very brightly lit. This abundance of light reflects well from the mirror's surface. The other room, from which we want to be able to see out yet remain concealed, must be kept relatively dark. That way only a small amount of light shines through the glass. The brightness on the other side overwhelms the light shining through making it nearly invisible.
On the suspect's side, the suspect sees a mirror reflecting the room he or she are in. On the detective’s side, the vastly larger amount of light coming from the criminal's side is what they see.
Let’s say two people were talking normally in a cheap hotel room. The sounds from the normal conversation could be heard next door…unless that is, the room next door had their television on full blast, in which case they would only hear their TV while their neighbors would be able to hear both (and complain to the manager!) In the same way, in order to be effective, the lighting must be greatly different in intensity with the concealed room being much darker, and the room you don’t want people to see into should be very brightly lit.
